Cards and Lists
Breedpost offers a versatile system for displaying content using different styles within the Individuals block, Articles block, and Breedings block.
Display
In the Style section you can select which options to display in your list, which is dependent on the block type. These are
hero image
summary
parents (for individuals and breedings)
call name (for individuals)
Type
Select the display type from the Type dropdown field.
Cards
Cards are a versatile way to present content in a visually appealing manner. They are typically used to display information in a structured and organized format. Breedpost offers five types of card displays:
1. Default Card
The Default Card style is a versatile card layout that offers a balanced presentation for displaying content within Breedpost. This style is designed to ensure that images maintain their aspect ratio while the cards span the entire container, providing a visually pleasing and consistent appearance.
Usage:
Ideal for cards with portrait images or images with different aspect ratios.
2. Small Card
The Small Card is designed to conserve space while still conveying essential information. Images are the same height and the cards fit into a smaller space
Usage:
Ideal for creating grid-style layouts or displaying multiple items in a limited space.
Useful when you want to present a list of items with a brief overview.
3. Large Card
The Large Card offers a more spacious layout compared to the Small Card, allowing for more extensive content display.
Usage:
Suited for showcasing content that requires more detailed descriptions or additional information.
Use when you want to emphasize visual elements.
4. Side by Side Card
The Side by Side Card style is a layout option that presents content with an image on the left and text on the right. This style is ideal for showcasing content where an image provides visual context and the accompanying text offers detailed information.
Usage:
Is well-suited for various content types that require a combination of images and descriptive text.
5. Featured Card
The Featured Card is designed to draw attention to specific content by using a distinct layout and styling.
Usage:
Highlight important or promoted items to make them stand out.
Looks great with two items.
List
The List type is a linear format that allows you to display content in a sequential manner.
Usage:
Provides a straightforward and easy-to-follow presentation.
Single
The Single type is designed for displaying a single piece of content with a focus on its details.
Usage:
Used when you want to provide comprehensive information about a single item.
Remember to consider the context and purpose of your content when selecting the appropriate block type and subtype. Each type serves a specific purpose and offers a unique presentation style. By utilizing the different types and subtypes effectively, you can enhance the user experience and convey your content more effectively on Breedpost.
