SEO and Social Media
The SEO and Social section is available across several collections within Breedpost, including Home, Pages, Articles, Breedings, and Individuals. This section allows you to optimize how your content appears in search engines and when shared on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Fields for Optimization
SEO Title: The title that appears in search engine results. Ideally, it should be concise and include relevant keywords.
SEO Description: A brief summary that appears under the SEO Title in search engine results. Aim to make this engaging and informative.
OG (Open Graph) Title: The title displayed when the content is shared on social media platforms.
OG Description: The description that appears beneath the OG Title when the content is shared on social media.
OG Image: An image that accompanies the shared content on social media. The image will automatically resize to 1200x630 pixels, but you can use a preset custom ratio in our image editor for precise cropping.
Fallback Mechanisms
For SEO Title: If this is not set, the Page Heading will be used as a fallback.
For SEO Description: If not available, the Page Introduction will be used, but note that HTML tags will not be stripped out. It's best to manually input an SEO description to avoid this issue.
For OG Title: The sequence for fallbacks is: OG Title → SEO Title → Page Heading.
For OG Description: The fallback sequence is: OG Description → SEO Description → Page Introduction. If none are set, no description will be shown.
Best Practices
Always Add an SEO Description: Leaving this blank may lead to HTML code appearing in the description, which can be problematic for readability and SEO performance.
Utilize the Image Editor: Use the custom ratio preset for cropping the OG Image to ensure the image displays exactly as you intend it to.
By optimizing these settings, you can better control how your content is displayed on search engines and social media, enhancing visibility and engagement.
